Some Nice Tips About Children Friendly Holidays

by Wendy Shand

There are lots of children friendly holidays. As each years passes, there is at least one celebratory day that can be enjoyed every other month. Making sure that these days are suitable to the tastes and preferences of a child is sometimes dictated by the holiday itself, or merely the perspective that you take. Here are a few of the most popular occasions.

To begin, how friendly a holiday is for a child to celebrate depends on how you celebrate it. It does not take much tweaking or changing to transform what might be a mundane day for kids into lots of fun. All you have to do is change your perspective a little bit, think how a kid would like to celebrate something, and go from there.

Valentines Day is possibly among the most versatile. Instead of opting for a more serious, romantic tone, make sure that you keep things light for the younger ones. Giving little Valentines and making them by hand out of paper doilies and glue guns are fun activities. Bake red velvet cupcakes with white frosting and serve them with lunch. Read a love story along the lines of classic fairy tales. It is easy and fun to pull off.

Easter is usually an occasion to wear a pastel dress to church, but it can be so much more. Kids will enjoy dying hard boiled eggs different colors, and drawing on them with a clear wax crayon. Plastic Easter eggs are also fun to hide and fill with candy, at which point kids spread out and try to find the most. This is an easy and cheap activity. You may also want to fill up hollow eggshells with confetti. People then throw them at each other in a form of tag or simply as a surprise.

The Fourth of July is different from all other holidays because it sits right in the middle of a hot Summer season. Fireworks can be dangerous for kids to handle, so keep things down to a minimum. Have a small barbeque. Cook some hot dogs and hamburgers and eat outside. When nighttime comes, drive to a nearby fireworks show and watch the display. However, there are safer, smaller fireworks like Sparklers and even party poppers that can be used for kids to play with.

Thanksgiving is among the most well-known days of the year. It is anticipated, widely celebrated, and famous because it basically introduces the beginning of the Christmas season. Kids will appreciate all the food laid out for the family to munch on, but they might enjoy other aspects, too. For example, making paper turkeys out of traced hand-prints is easy to do. It may also be helpful to watch a local play based on the first Thanksgiving - or even put one on themselves.

Christmas is obviously the biggest holiday season. It is something that enraptures young as well as old, and brings together families as a whole. There are so many things to do; sledding, caroling, parties, gift-exchanges, shopping, dinners, church services and charity drives. You'll never be short on activities with so many options. It's the most wonderful time of the year, after all.

When it comes to finding occasions that are friendly to kids, you will find that it basically depends on the way you celebrate it. There is no reason that everybody in your family cannot enjoy everything together. Do not waste another minute. Get started on the closest celebration today.
