Taking Your Toddler On Disneyland Vacations

by Tiffany Nash

Disneyland, indeed, is a place for kids one to one hundred - that's right, toddlers included! If you have a toddler, there are too many things in this place to keep you and your child amused, and with the abundance of these activities, not even a week would be enough at times.

Toon Town is the first stop in this tour by means of article. Your toddler's most beloved Disney Characters like Mickey, Donald and Goofy will all be in here. All of the Characters have homes in Toon Town, full of things that will amaze your toddler, and make them laugh. A second place your toddler will love is the Disneyland Railroad. This is a great way to get around the park, because there are stations in New Orleans Square, Toon Town, Tomorrowland, and on Main Street. This will amuse your toddler, and give you a chance to see some sights and rest a bit.

Its A Small World is very appropriate for toddlers. Again, you can take this opportunity to relax as your toddler gets mystified by the swirl of colors and music. As for the Storybook Land Canal Boats, this is a chance for your toddler to see all the familiar Characters and locales he or she knows so well from the story books you read to them before they go to bed.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the Circus Train, King Arthur's Carousel, Fantasyland and the Mad Tea Party are just a few of the many rides your child can go on when at Disneyland. Rides that involve darkness are well-suited for young children, but be warned as they may be a bit scary for your toddler. These include Peter Pan's Flight, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, Alice in Wonderland, and Snow White's Scary Adventure. Toy Story's most popular character Buzz Lightyear is a big hit with toddlers, and so is his ride. Look around the park and you will notice some areas that have their share of rides and sights that are meant for toddlers. Remember that Disneyland is a place for kids of all ages. Pay attention to the height and age requirements for each attraction, and avoid taking your toddler to rides that they will not be able to enjoy. This will only cause your child disappointment.

Thus, you should stick only to the places that feature toddler-friendly attractions. You were a kid once, and you may remember your parents warning you about some rides not being fit for little tykes, but back then, I doubt you were able to understand where they came from - I wasn't. But now we all know the dangers, and we all realize that Disneyland is doing everything it can to offer something for people of all ages. It will be your responsibility to make sure your child remains happy and that his or her expectations are properly set regarding rides and attractions meant for them.
