Why Fly In Private?

by Daniel Pott

"Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury." Coco Chanel quotes

"It is impossible to overdo luxury" French Proverb

"Nothing gives me as much pleasure as traveling. I love getting on trains and boats and planes. " Alan Rickman

Let's face it: if traveling is a must, then always go first class. Yes first class can be fabulous on a commercial flight, with everyone staring as you stop at the front of the plane when boarding instead of having to go towards the back and sit in one of those cramped spaces with everyone else. Exclusivity is always great and nothing says "exclusive" like unapologetic luxury. Chartering a private jet is a fabulous way of separating the ones who desire the good life from the ones who aren't afraid to go for it, no apologies given. But why charter a private jet in the first place and secondly, what do you look for when deciding on which company to charter from?

Why go private?

*C-O-N-V-I-E-N-C-E; regardless of whatever the client's wishes may be, the client gets what they want. If the client wishes to leave ten minutes earlier or later than planned, they can ask for it without worrying about the other passengers. No need for worrying about losing luggage or pets: basically all you need to do is just bring them onto the plane with you.

*You can't beat the luxury aspect. Big, gorgeous chairs, pretty table settings instead of the TV table set-up and your own stewardesses there to serve you. And whatever you want to eat, it is yours:

Appetizer Escargot Mushrooms

For the main course you will have a Cedar Plank Salmon entree with maple glazed sweet potatoes with caramelized onions and bacon

Dessert Warm, Golden Plum Souffle

Privacy can help you seal the deal. If you want to spend time with your husband or wife, why not take a trip to Monaco? Sounds great, but would not it be even better to spend time alone on the road to Monaco? Only in a private jet can you embrace each other in a quick flight over the water without causing a spectacle. And some private planes have sleeping spaces, so a husband and wife can be even closer... and everything is done in private.

What is the 411 for booking one?

1. When booking a private charter jet, a company is meant to help you make the best decision that will benefit you and your needs, not the other way around. If a company tries to get you to do something you are not comfortable with, politely say no thank you and move on.

2. Always go for the company that can fly from anywhere in the world. When you're spending a lot of money, you should be able to get anything you want. The sky's the limit should not be just what you spend.

3. Research, research and more research; ask around for reviews and references. How do they handle luggage issues, pets and other lost and found items?

4. You want to check if they offer transportation to and from landing. What kind of amenities does the company offer. You want to make sure that you are getting all you need for the money you are spending.

To Sum Up

The saying is that "You get what you paid for"; no truer words could be said when discussing the potential of chartering a private plane. Only get the best and leave the rest alone.
